A “Mini-Moon” adventure

Only returning back from our Sydney adveture 6 months ago we feel like our feet have barely touched the ground, with little time to plan a big fantastic get way Mr Ward and I decided that we’d treat ourselves to a little UK “Mini –Moon” immediately after the big day and save our big adventure for later in the year. Being away from the Uk for so long made us realize how little of our lovely country we’ve actually seen, so we decided to take Florence, our little wedding VW {hired from here} and go and explore a little of Suffolk & Norfolk. I’ve never drunk so much tea, eaten so much cake – it was heaven and best of all after months of Wedding Chaos it was just me, my man and Dudley once again.

Of course you may have guessed our Mini moon adventure basically took us on a whistle stop tour of places to rummage for old tat! I had meant to ask you all for your suggestions but sadly didn’t get round to it. Here are a few of our finds- please share any other fab stop you know and we’ll visit again soon.

First stop Southwold – perfect for antiques, bric-a brac and cute delis selling locally grown produce.

The onto the Norfolk broads and a lovely campsite in Clippsby. And some scenic walks.

Next stop Cromer  for old bookshops and errrr crab??! and then a drive along the coast through some really cute villages to Burnham Market. Perfect for pottering in old book-shops and lazy afternoon tea.

Finally  back into Suffolk in search of Vintage treasures we headed for Long Melford and picked up a few more old books and some great vintage finds for the shop.

And now I’m back down to earth with a bump! Stack of emails to wade through, bills to pay, washing (so much washing) packing away all of the china, trophies, and props from the wedding and a lot of catching up around here!

Right that’s enough about me, next few posts will be of recent discoveries!

Hope you’ve had a lovely Holiday Monday x

Ahhh – nothing beats hitting the open road in a V-Dub. We have been booked out at Buttercup Bus VW Campers this summer with gorgeous couples wanting some campervan magic for their wedding or holidays!
