Pre-Wedding PhotoShoot

Another week has flown by, a blur of prep for weddings and shoots! And pre-wedding shoots in fact. Last Wednesday we had our Pre-wedding shoot with our lovely wedding photographer Eliza. The purpose of the shoot was so we would begin to feel a little more relaxed in front of camera, and boy did we need it! I’m far far happier behind the camera and Simon likes to throw in a mix of 80’s catalogue poses wherever possible so in almost 11 years together we have very few decent photo’s together. Poor Eliza had her work cut out! I love Eliza’s style of photography, so whimsical. Eliza was the first person we booked for our wedding way back when we were still in Sydney, in fact we set our  wedding date according to when she was free because we both loved her work so much. Here’s a little taster but see more over on her blog…

I was temped to really go to town with the styling but in the end we decided upon a simple countryside shot with Simon’s Austin Healy and the idea of driving around picking up treasures for the wedding (think Antiques Road Show but with flowers and vintage cases replacing the suit of arms and grandfather clock!) You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find the perfect field though!!

Right, I’m off on my Hen do tomorrow for a lovely long weekend with the girls. I can’t wait and it can only mean one thing…the wedding is just round the corner!
