This little project is so simple it doesn’t really need a “how to” but they didn’t show up so well in the main shot, so I thought I’d show them again in detail!
Making patterned mounts for photo’s was a way to introduce pattern & colour and also link in the yellow of the sofa and wallpaper.
Simply measure the inside of your frame and use scissors of a craft knife to cut a piece of patterned paper to size. Then draw a central box on the paper approx 4mm smaller all the way round than the size of your photograph. Using a craft knife cut out the central box to create your aperture. Pop in a frame with your photo and marvel at your handiwork!
